College Students
In a study done by Ball State professor, Michael Hanley, over 5,500 college students were surveyed. Professor Hanley determined that 98.9 percent of students own a cell phone, making this issue a concern to essentially every single college student in the United States. This millennial generation is the largest users of technology. It is the generation that has literally grown up watching technology being used everywhere all of the time. Millennials do not know how to live without it.

Tech IndustryCompanies such as Apple, Droid, Samsung are at the forefront of this moral issue. Everyday there is a new gadget, app or upgrade that we have to have. No one wants to be left behind. Every time a new feature or app is created we clamor to get it. Being behind the crowd when it on the topic of technology, especially cell phones could lead a student to develop anxiety or depression.
